  1. SPICED  NUTS
  2.  
  3. 1 2/3 c. dry roasted peanuts
  4. 1/2 c. unblanched almonds
  5. 1/2 c. walnut halves
  6. (OR 1 c. pecans, hazelnuts, brazil nuts
  7. instead of the almond and walnuts)
  8. 1 slightly beaten egg white
  9. Place in large bowl and cover nuts with egg white
  10. SPICE MIX
  11. Mix together:
  12. 3/4 c. sugar
  13. 1/2 tsp. salt (more if using unsalted peanuts)
  14. 1/2 - 1 tsp. ginger,
  15. 1 - 11/4 tsp. cinnamon
  16. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. nutmeg,
  17. 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. cloves
  18.  
  19. Add to nuts.  Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15
  20. minutes
